A global biopharma company, inspired by the needs of people living with severe diseases

UCB has a deep heritage in neurology, providing a range of solutions for people living with neurological disorders, including epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease.

We are committed to expanding our leadership and capabilities into new frontiers with substantial unmet needs.

Our ambition

Building upon our legacy, we have already introduced treatments for conditions like Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and generalized Myasthenia Gravis.

Our vision extends further, aiming to unveil a diverse range of treatment options by the end of this decade. This vision includes addressing challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, a unique potential treatment for those susceptible to prolonged seizures and possible innovative solutions for people living with severe conditions like TK2d, KCNT1, CDKL5 deficiency disorder, and neuroinflammation disorders.

We are motivated by the belief that we can create genuine value for the communities we serve by:

Elevating care for people
Our team at UCB is driven by a profound sense of purpose, dedicated to bringing value to individuals dealing with severe neurological conditions including their caregivers. We view the whole person, not just the patient or the disease, striving to identify and eliminate unnecessary burdens for those affected and their families.

Advancing the ecosystem
As neurology leaders, we refuse to accept the status quo, continuously challenging ourselves to reimagine care delivery tailored to the unique needs of our patient populations. We actively collaborate with the healthcare community to facilitate broad and sustainable access to treatment, ensuring our impact extends beyond medical solutions.

Innovating the science
UCB is committed to leading with innovative and breakthrough science, leveraging the latest medical and technological advancements. Our goal is to enhance patient outcomes and experiences, ensuring sustainable access for those who rely on our solutions.

Neurology Insights

At UCB we are inspired to discover, develop, and deliver solutions that help to make real improvements to the lives of people living with severe neurological conditions, allowing them to live the best life that they can.

We work in close collaboration with patients and their caregivers, as well as healthcare professionals, to better understand the reality of living with a neurological condition and prioritize research that goes where patient insight and science leads us.

By developing differentiated solutions for specific patient populations, we are taking tangible steps to move from symptomatic treatment to disease modification, and possibly towards cures for severe diseases.

Through our NeuroInsider series, you can hear from our scientific experts, patient partners, and business leaders about the science driving our ambitions.
